Dr Matthew Stout lectures on the history of the Irish landscape, Early Medieval Ireland, Medieval archaeology and International Historiography. He is co-general editor of the Irish landscapes series published by Cork University Press, and Reviews Editor for Irish Economic and Social History. He has published extensively on Early Medieval settlement.
