about a research degree
Research degrees are the highest degrees awarded by the University. They require students to undertake an independent programme of study leading to a substantial dissertation on a topic approved by the College.
This kind of independent research offers great satisfaction and intellectual excitement, especially for students who enjoy study and intellectual challenges, and who perform very well academically.
The College has two application dates for research degrees, 30 April and 15 November.
