Welcome to the website of the National Pilot Project on Teacher Induction - Primary.

The National Pilot Project on Teacher Induction was set up in 2002, and is a partnership initiative between the Department of Education and Skills, the three teacher unions, the Colleges of Education and the schools participating in the project. Further details of the project available here.

This website aims to provide information about NPPTI and to support Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs), mentors, principals and staff  in their work with NQTs. We welcome comments and suggestions to NPPTI.

NPPTI-Primary have developed a new model of professional development training for NQTs.
