StePS to engineering K'NEX Challenge

The StePs to enineering KNEX challenge is an initiative developed by StePs to engineering and Hasbro.  The aim of the challenge is to provide primary school pupils with an introduction to the exciting world of engineering and design.  Fourth and fifth class children from primary schools all over Ireland take part in the challenge every year. In February 2006 the second year B.Ed students took the K'NEX challenge as part of their curriculum science course.  The challenge was to construct a space buggy, that could carry astronauts and their exploration equipment over the rough and uneven surface of the moon.  This year's second year B.Ed students will be taking a different StePS to engineering KNEX challenge.
