International Students
Welcome to the Geography Department in St Patrick's College! We hope that your time with us here will be enjoyable, and that you will find the courses provided by the department both challenging and rewarding.
Every year we welcome International Students who may take one or a number of modules with the department, including our specially-tailored International course.

Geog-IFTM1: Irish Landscapes and Heritage
Using a small area of Ireland as a case-study, this module looks at the influences on the Irish landscape over time, from the physical makeup of the land to the use that humans have made of this. It draws on elements of geography, history and other wide ranging disciplines to enable students to start to decipher why the landscape looks the way it does. Central to the course is a one-day fieldtrip, Students are expected to do some preliminary reading for this. Following the fieldtrip, students will be asked to complete a project, linking what they have seen in the field to their home areas.
Two separate, but linked, Geography - International modules are available in first and second semesters, so international students have the option of taking one or both modules:
