Frequently Asked Questions
Is there an Access Project in St. Patrick's?
Yes. We offer up to 5% of first year intake on our B.Ed and B A degree courses through the Access project. The places are offered on a competitive basis once applicants meet the HEAR criteria. For further information please contact us on 01 8842169 or else click here for further information on the HEAR scheme. If you are aged 23 or over you may be interested in our direct entry schemes to the B.A. and B.Ed. programmes for mature applicants.
How do I know if I qualify for the Access Project?
If you are attending any second level school in the country and you think you may fit the Access criteria then please contact us at the number below.
I don't have enough points in my Leaving Cert but I want to study in St. Pat's. Can I apply for the Access programme?
The Access Programme is designed to assist students who wouldn't normally progress to Third Level without the range of supports we offer. It is not suitable for students who are only seeking a reduction in points. As part of the programme you will be required to attend meetings and take part in various access-based activities.
