The Building Maintenance Office was established on 5th January 2004 with the appointment of Mr. Oliver Dooley as Building Maintenance Officer and reports directly to the Secretary/Bursar of College. Oliver has vast knowledge and experience of the Construction Industry and is a qualified Electrician.
His responsibilities include:
- Management of day-to-day maintenance programme throughout the College and Campus
- Management of the Buildings Office annual budget
- Ensure cost effective and efficient us of all College plant and equipment
- Management of on-going preventative maintenance programmes
- Management of all general craft, construction, renovations, minor works and maintenance work
- Liaise with the College's Architects, Engineers and outside maintenance contractors
- Assist other crafts in their work
- Organising of the maintenance of College grounds
- Management of the Boiler House
- Assist in the setting up different areas for Examinations, Graduations, Seminars & Conferences in addition to the various functions and ceremonies that take place in the College throughout the year
- Assist in the setting up of various rooms, offices and assisting in removal and relocation of offices, rooms and equipment
- Assist in Security / Fire Safety / Health & Safety matters
The Buildings Maintenance Office normal hours of duty are Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. but the Buildings Maintenance Officer is on call outside these hours when necessary.
