2009 Song Contest
St Patrick’s College 20th Annual Song Contest took place on Tuesday 28th April in the College Auditorium. Although audience members were few, the show was still a big success, as it featured some of the college's outstanding musical talents. There were six contestants and the interval act was our very own Brew Mbirika's band, Blue Sun, who had everyone dancing.
The Best Performance Act went to 1st Year
Keith Mc Gowan, with his song, 'Ships at Night', the Runner-Up song went to 2nd Year, Cara Kavanagh with her song, 'Reason' and our winner of Best Song went to Brian O'Reilly, with his song, 'Things to do Before You Die'.
The standard was exceptionally high this year and our judges, Micheal O'Leary, Patricia Flynn, Rhona Clarke and John O'Boyle had a very difficult task, picking the winners.
