Afterschool Volunteer Project

A new afterschool volunteer project has been developed in 2009/2010 by St Patrick’s College’s Student St Vincent de Paul Society, in conjunction with the Educational Disadvantage Centre.  Led by 3rd year BEd student Sinéad Buggle, the afterschool project is based in St Vincent’s School, North William St, Dublin 1.  The initiative involves seven BEd students engaged in drama, the visual arts and music with a group of 16 primary school pupils from North William St, every Tuesday.  This project is assisted by Sinéad McCauley, a teacher in St Vincent’s School and Graduate of St Patrick’s College, who is currently taking the MEd, Special Option in Educational Disadvantage in the College.
