Ballymun Education Fair

The Ballymun Education Fair will take place in Ballymun Civic Centre on Thursday 10th September 2009, from 9am-5pm .

The Fair will be officially opened by Minister for Lifelong Learning Seán Haughey TD with a Special Guest appearance by former Irish International Ray Houghton.

Organised by the Lifelong Learning Subgroup of the Ballymun Whitehall Area Partnership, of which St Patrick’s College Educational Disadvantage Centre is a member, the Fair aims to promote learning, education and training opportunities for adults and young people of all ages right in the heart of their own community.

40 organisations, including the College’s Access office, will distribute information and recruit for courses on the day.  There will also be demonstrations and entertainment promoting the variety of learning programmes which can be signed on for.
