Open Day for Campus Development Project
A presentation and exhibition of the proposed Campus Development Plan was held in the College on 30 June. It was attended by members of the public keen to learn about the plans to develop new buildings to the front and rere of the existing main College buildings.
Campus buildings date from the late nineteenth century with additional buildings added in the 1960's and 1970's. The capital investment at that time has servd Irish education well and the campus is now in urgent need of modernisation. The Campus Development Plan proposes a major investment in new buildings and the replacement of prefabricated buildings to ensure an appropriate environment of academic excellence into the future.
Senior College staff and representatives from the Project Design Team were present to answer questions regarding the proposed development.
A formal planning application has been submitted to Dublin City Council.
