Cancellation of Prof Michael Cronin Lecture Monday 14 February 2011

Due to unforeseen circumstances the Seamus Heaney Lecture on Monday 14 February, with Professor Michael Cronin “Translation Island: Language, Culture & Crisis” is cancelled. We apologise for the inconvenience.

The next lecture in the series is on Monday 21 February 2011 entitled Crossing Borders: Heaney and the Ulster 'Thing'and will be presented by Dr Pauric Travers, President of St Patrick's College. The guest chair at this lecture will be John Kelly (RTÉ). John will be well known to listeners and to viewers of various radio and television programmes on RTÉ. Among his many and varied pursuits, he currently presents 'The View' on RTÉ 1 and 'The John Kelly Ensemble' on RTÉ's Lyric Fm.
