Clubs & Societies Awards 2007
This year, for the first time the Students Union held the Clubs and Societies award presentations in the college. Students from a wide variety of clubs and socs were presented with awards for their outstanding achievements throughout the year. The famous Michéal Ó Muircheartaigh who himself was a past student of St Patrick's was the special guest on the night. He spoke of the changes in the college using his great skill of using ‘cúpla focail as Gaeilge’. Awards (see below) were presented to a wide variety of students from Scór All Ireland trad music to individual achievement honours to club and society organiser prizes to All Ireland winning ladies and men GAA football teams.
From the student canteen, the after party was held in Break for the Border in town. Almost 1,000 students were present which was down to the hard and diligent work of Clubs and Societies Officer, Ciara Gallagher.
