Success for Coláiste Phádraig Ladies Football Team

Joanna Timmins (pictured above ) played a convincing role on the Coláiste Phádraig Ladies Football team on Friday last at home when the Drumcondra girls sent the fancied UCD side crashing out of a place in the coveted O'Connor Cup week-end netting 3-6 to 0-11 in a brilliant display by both teams.  Playing with the aid of a very strong breeze in the first half, it looked like 1-4 scored would not be enough to hold the mighty Belfield side who registered a single point in the opening 30 minutes.  Wind-assisted UCD went on a scoring spree after the break but, eventhough playing into the teeth of a raging storm at this stage, St Pats netted two superb goals and tacked on a two further points to put the issue beyond doubt.
