PhD awarded to Dr Colman Pearce
Dr Colman Pearce, the distinguished conductor, musician and composer was conferred with a doctorate at the Conferring Ceremonies in St Patrick's College on Saturday 14 November, for his PhD in Composition.

To mark the occasion there was a public concert of his compositions on Sunday 15 November at 12 noon in the Hugh Lane Gallery, Parnell Square. Colman Pearce previously studied conducting in Hilversum and Vienna. He was Principal Conductor of the RTÉ Symphony Orchestra and Guest Conductor all over the world. His compositions include a song cycle Summerfest, Robinson the Cat, Anagram, King Cormac at Tara, Alienado, Contemplations, and The Little Room.
