Celebrating Books - Book Day at St Pat's

At this year's Book Day a group of children from Rutland Street Junior School were invited to the Cregan Library St Patrick's College to celebrate books.
As part of their visit they were given a presentation on screen to help them access books in a library. Each child was then given the task of finding a book having been given the title, author and class number of the book. With only a little help from staff and great excitement they proved more than capable of the task.
Their second project was to make their own story book "All About Me". They were provided with pictures of families, pets, friends, various hobbies and a basic book and could include whatever they liked in the book including their own details. When completed the book was stamped with the Library logo and they were given a commemorative bookmark specially produced for them as a reminder of their visit to St. Pat's.
