Dr José Luis Lopez Visit

The Mathematics Department, St Patrick’s College was delighted to welcome Dr José Luis López from the Universidad Pública de Navarra in Pamplona as a guest lecturer in the department during the week 31st March–4th April.  Dr López taught a short module on Linear Systems to first year Academic Mathematics students as part of an Erasmus Teaching Staff Mobility Programme the College has agreed with the Departamento Ingeniera, Matematica e Informatica of the Universidad Pública de Navarra.  He also facilitated a number of computer laboratory sessions.  The students were delighted to have the opportunity to learn mathematics from a different perspective.  Staff of the Department also found the exchange to be extremely beneficial in terms of sharing ideas around teaching and learning practices in their respective institutions.
