New Publication Supporting Teaching and Learning in the Second -Level School

Dr Thérèse McPhillips, lecturer in the Education Department in St Patrick’s College Drumcondra recent publication Supporting Teaching and Learning in the Second-Level aims to extend teachers knowledge of practices which support inclusion of all learners.  It describes a range of strategies and approaches which include differentiation of teaching, active learning and problem solving. Barriers to learning which present as specific learning difficulties are tackled and the characteristics of learners with dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia and attention difficulties are also addressed.
