Presentation to Ferdinand von Prondzynski

A presentation was made to Professor Ferdinand von Prondzynski, former President of Dublin City University, in a ceremony at St Patrick's College on 26 October. Speaking on behalf of the staff and students of the College and on his own behalf, the President of St Patrick's College, Dr Travers, complimented Professor von Prondzynski on his achievements as leader of DCU from 2000 to 2010, his support for the work of the College, and his advocacy on behalf of higher education generally. President von Prondzynski was presented with a specially commissioned piece of Dublin Crystal engraved with an image of Belvedere House, the historic residence at the heart of the Drumcondra campus.
