Fulbright Fellowship
St Patrick’s College has been awarded its first fully funded US Fulbright Fellowship. It will go to the Special Education Department and it is for one semester (five months) of the academic year 2007-2008.
The scholar is Michael Rosenberg, professor in the Special Education Department at John Hopkins University. He has particular research interests in the area of teacher preparation, in particular addressing the issue of alternative routes for the preparation of special education teachers. His visit therefore is extremely timely.
Fulbright will have a total of 13 scholars in Ireland next year, 7 of which are fully funded by Irish Host institutions and 6 co-funded.
