Fun Day at St Patrick's College
The annual St Patrick's College Fun Day took place on Tuesday, May 12th. This year a co-operative effort on the part of the Student Union, the GAA Development Officer and the Physical Activity and Sports Co-ordintor saw record attendance and the introduction of many new events. The sun was shining, the ice-cream was flowing and the college canteen kindly organised a BBQ out on the pitches.
The bouncy castle, sumo suits, gladiator games and bucking bronco kept everyone amused while those who felt like challenging themselves further went for the tug of war, the tag rugby and the GAA penalty shootouts. There was also an interesting addition of games from around the world, organised by Brian Ruane's (Programme Leader for the Centre for Human Rights and Citizenship Education at St Patrick's College) World in the Classroom third-year elective group. Games from Africa, France, India, Jamaica and Australia were on display and tried out by many.
