Commemorating John McGahern

The John McGahern Irish Writing Commemorative Evening will be hosted by the Department of English on 11th May 2011. This is the fifth evening in an annual event celebrating John McGahern’s writing and celebrating the best Irish writing of the contemporary moment. We are happy to welcome to the college this year, award winning Irish writer, Éilís Ní Dhuibhne, who will read from her own work and Dr Stanley van der Ziel who will speak on the work of John McGahern. The event will commence at 7pm in room D210. Everyone is most welcome to attend.
