Kent State University Visit

A group of twenty students from Kent State University, Ohio visited St Patrick's College on Monday May 19th. The group was accompanied by the organiser of the visit, Batt Burns, a graduate of the college (1961), and former Principal of Sneem primary school. He is presently on the Board of the Centre for International and Intercultural Education at Kent State University. Professor John Coolahan, Chairperson of St Patrick’s College Governing Body, gave a presentation to the group on the Irish educational system, and Dr Therese Day, Special Education Department, St Patrick's College, talked about current provision for special education at primary level.
