Partnership Project in Kosovo

St Patrick's College welcomed a delegation from Kosovo on a study visit this week. The delegates were from the University of Prishtina, the In-Career Education Centre in the city of Prizren and from the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). They met with members of staff of the College during their visit and attended presentations on initial teacher education and inservice education. They also visited a primary school and Drumcondra Education Centre. The visit marks the commencement of a project between St Patrick's College and the OSCE to support the development an in-service teacher training centre at the University of Prishtina in Kosovo. A delegation from the College will visit Kosovo in April to plan for inservice workshops that will be delivered by members of St Patrick's College Education Department in Kosovo in June and September 2010.
