Life-long Learning in Ireland - national report by Educational Disadvantage Centre launched
The National Report on Lifelong Learning in Ireland - LLL2010: Sub-Project 1: Towards a Lifelong Learning Society in Europe - the Contribution of the Education System - was launched in St Patrick's College on 7 February. The report, by Drs Catherine Maunsell and Paul Downes, and Ms Valerie McLoughlin, of the Educational Disadvantage Centre in St Patrick's College, provides country-specific input on the policies and practice of lifelong learning in Ireland, to enable comparison of data across the other participating member states and regions in terms of the role the education system plays in lifelong learning. The report is funded by the European Union Sixth Framework - Lifelong Learning 2010.
