Lunchtime Concert Series Spring 2012
Please see below details of the forthcoming lunchtime concert series taking place in St Patrick's College. The concerts are free. Each concert takes place in the College Music Department's Recital Room B118, on Wednesdays 1.15-1.50 pm.
Wednesday 8 February : Martin Johnson, principal cellist of the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra, will be accompanied by Colman Pearce in a programme of Dvořák, Delius and Bruch.
Wednesday 15 February : Pianist Anthony Byrne will perform music by Claude Debussy to mark the 150 anniversary of the composer’s birth in 1862.
Wednesday 29 February: This concert will feature the musical talents of our first year music students, performing in a variety of musical genres.
Wednesday 14 March : A visit from the Apaczai Csere János Choir, from the University of Western Hungary in Györ.
Wednesday 25 April: The Kildare International School of Excellence for Young Musicians will present a wide- ranging programme.
Wednesday 2 May: A performance by the College Choir and the Student Music Groups.
Wednesday 9 May: The fifteenth and final concert of the academic year will feature further performances by the various music groups, which have been rehearsing since the start of the semester.
