Minister announces major revamp for St Patrick's College

The Minister for Education and Science, Batt O'Keeffe TD, announced today that the College is to receive a major revamp in a €50m building project that will result in new lecture theatres, a library and offices.  The Project has now been sanctioned to go to Tender, with building work to commence next year.  The Minister stated that the project will transform the campus in St Patrick's College and bring its facilities to a new level of state-of-the-art modernity.

The project was given the go-ahead following a rigorous Government appraisal applied to all proposals for large-scale building projects in higher education.

This is very welcome news for the College, and will have direct benefit to Teacher Education in the country.
