Millennium Scholarship for Gavan Ring

Gavan Ring, BEd 2008 graduand, has secured a Bank of Ireland Millennium Scholarship of  €12,600 over two years to support his study for a Masters in Music at the Royal Irish Academy of Music. The Millennium Scholarship Fund seeks to recognise and support exceptional talent at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Competition is extremely high for this prestigious scholarship, with over 400 applications to the Fund each year and approximately 10 scholarships awarded in the Creative and Performing Arts Category in which Gavan was successful. Applicants in this category must undergo an interview and audition by a panel of experts in the musical field, as well as fulfilling the standard Millennium Scholars Fund criteria.  St Patrick’s College, a registered nominating body, proposed Gavan as a suitable candidate for the Scholarship.

The Millennium Scholarship application process is co-ordinated by the College's Access Office.
