Mirror Up to Nature Launched

Dr Patrick Burke, Dr Carmel O'Sullivan

Mirror Up To Nature, edited by Patrick Burke, was launched by Dr Carmel O’Sullivan at a reception in St Patrick’s College on 26 November 2010. This collection of essays on Drama and Theatre in the Modern World is the edited proceedings of the fourth session of the Séamus Heaney Lecture Series, held biennially at St Patrick’s College.

The contributors to the volume include director, Patrick Mason, who writes on the fundamental nature of theatre. Dramatist Thomas Kilroy focuses on theatre in Ireland, while Cecily O’Neill and Jonothan Neelands write on drama in education and the classroom. Brenna Katz Clarke’s contribution is on drama and film and John Buckley writes on the history of opera and on his own composition, “The Words Upon The Window-Pane.”
