St Patrick's College awarded NAIRTL 2009 Research Grants
St Patrick’s College Drumcondra was successful in the recent NAIRTL 2009 Research Grants Initiative. TWO applications from the College, as follows, attracted funding:

NAIRTL, the National Academy for Integration of Research and Teaching & Learning, promotes innovation, supports development and sustains good practice that links research with teaching and learning in 38 higher education institutions.
The NAIRTL grants initiative generated a huge response with more than 120 applications being considered from 25 Higher Education Institutes and only a limited number of grants were disbursed nationally.
This success for Mathematics and Science Education follows on the recent St Patrick’s College Drumcondra/DCUEU CASTEL FP7 awards. Cliona Murphy and Janet Varley are partners along with Oonagh Meighan from Discover Science and Engineering on the proposal FIBONACCI. Tom McCloughlin (St Patrick’s Drumcondra), Eilish McLoughlin (Physics DCU), Odilla Finlayson (Chemistry, DCU), and Sarah Brady (CASTeL Research Offficer) are co-ordinating the proposal ESTABLISH.
