Nantes/St Patrick's College Exchange Project

Twelve French teacher education students from the l’Institut Supérieur Ozanam, a Catholic Teacher Education Insitute in Nantes, visited St Patrick’s College at the end of October.  The visit was organised within the context of the Access Programme as the French student teachers were particularly interested in the teaching of English to Newcomer Families in Ireland whose first language is not English, a linguistic situation with which they are familiar in France and which occurs regularly in Irish primary schools with pupils from Newcomer families.  So this short exchange programme provides an international dimension to the Access Programme.  

12 St Pats students will return to Nantes, 19th-25th January, 2009.
