College welcomes new cohort of EdD students
The latest cohort of EdD students was welcomed to the College on 10 June as they embarked on their four year programme.
Established in 2005, the College EdD was the first such programme in the Irish republic. This is the third group of students to enter the course - the first graduates were conferred in 2009. The latest cohort is made up of experienced educators working in diverse educational settings that include the primary, secondary and third level sectors, the DES, the psychological services, adult education, non-government organisations, and second language teaching. Over the course of their studies, participants will take a range of courses taught by College staff and international experts and specialise in one of a number of key areas of system need in Irish education including SEN; Educational Leadership; Educational Inequality, Diversity and Disadvantage; and Teaching, Learning/Curriculum and Assessment.
Below is the graduating class of 2009.
