New Postgraduate Programme in Physical Education launched

Applications are invited for a new in-service  Certificate/Diploma in Physical Education (PE) which is due to begin in November 2010. The course aims to enhance the teaching of primary PE by providing opportunities for teachers to explore practical and theoretical aspects of the subject. Issues central to teaching quality PE such as planning, evaluation, assessment and teaching children with special needs will underpin the practical exploration of content related to the six strands of PE. It is particularly suited to those who may wish to lead the development of PE at school level and beyond.

The course may be taken to diploma level as a stand-alone qualification, and can also contribute towards a masters qualification.
