Peadar O'Donnell paintings unveiled

 

Three paintings of College alumnus, Peadar O’Donnell, by the Artist Brian Bourke, were unveiled at a reception in the College on Tuesday 29 November 2011.   Writer and Art Critic Brian Lynch unveiled the paintings.  

Peadar O'Donnell, a native of Donegal, graduated from St Patrick's College in 1913. In unveiling the three paintings, Brian Lynch spoke about O'Donnell and those that influenced his writing.

The reception was attended by the artist Brian Bourke, pictured above with Brian Lynch, and by members of the Donegal Association and other distinguished guests.

The event coincided with the UNESCO/Poetry Ireland Readings in the College auditorium.
