PRTLI success for Foras Feasa
Good news for the Humanities at SPCD!
Mary Hanafin announced the recipients of €230 million research investment under the Programme for Research in Third Level Institutions (PRTLI) HEA. Among the successful projects was the Humanities Serving Irish Society (HSIS) programme which received approximately €28 million and represents a major change in the scope and capacity for humanities research, teaching and training in Ireland, with researchers in humanities disciplines in all higher-education institutions in Ireland, for the first time, coming together in a common forum.
Foras Feasa is part of that common forum and we are pleased to report that its bid was successful. Congratulations to the 22 members of Foras Feasa here at SPCD, and to our partners, NUIM, DCU and DKIT. This is a moment to celebrate and to savour!
A special word of thanks and congratulations to Margaret Kelleher whose management of the project has played a major part in this important development.
