Polish Education and Teacher Training

St Patrick’s College hosted visitors from the University of Bielsko-Biała Poland on 20th November. The delegation included the Provost, Professor Ryszard Barcik, Humanities and Social Science Dean, Professor Emil Tokarz and the Chair of the English Department, Professor Jerzy Kossek.  The visitors were on a fact finding mission relating to education and exploring possibilities for collaboration with St Patrick’s College.  They were welcomed to the College by the Registrar Olivia Bree, and International Affairs Coordinator, Dr Gerry O’Reilly and Administrator International Affairs, Ms Bernie Donnelly. The delegation took the opportunity of talking to students and staff manning the desks during the College Open Day. Provost Professor Barcik expressed his admiration for the organization and institutional culture displayed during the Open Day.
