Reading Association of Ireland Conference
The 30th Annual Conference of the Reading Association of Ireland(RAI) takes place in St. Patrick's College, Drumcondra on September 28th to 30th. The Theme of this year's conference is "Literacy at the Crossroads: Moving Forward,Looking Back". The theme allows for papers addressing Literacy and Disadvantage, Comprehension, Supporting Struggling Readers, English Language Learners, Writing, Early Literacy Development, Popular Culture and the New iteracies and the development of Reading Fluency. Keynote speakers include Gerry Shiel, Colin Harrison, Martin Gleeson and Jackie Marsh. Cost €50,members and €75 non members including one years membership of RAI NQT's €20.
