Report on RSE Programme launched
The Board of the Crisis Pregnancy Agency and the Department of Education and Science launched a significant new report examining the implementation of the Relationship and Sexuality Education (RSE) programme in post-primary schools on 13 March 2007. The report was launched by Minister for Education and Science, Mary Hanafin, TD.
The report examines the RSE programme in the context of Social, Personal and Health Education (SPHE) and assesses the challenges to its full implementation in post-primary schools. It was compiled by:
Dr Paula Mayock, Senior Researcher at the Children's Research Centre, TCD;
Karl Kitching, seconded teacher to St Patrick's College Education Department;
Dr Mark Morgan, Head of Education, St Patrick's College.
