Research Ethics Information Session

Jean Ware, Director of Special Education, will discuss issues and dilemmas in conducting research involving children.  The workshop will focus particularly on the issues of consent and assent and the dilemma of inclusiveness versus informed consent.  Various solutions to this problem will be discussed, with particular reference to children with special needs and disabilities. A light lunch will be provided.
