Rosemary Warren Exhibition

An exhibition of new works by Rosemary Warren, Education Department,St Patrick’s College, Drumcondra was held in the Basement Gallery Dundalk on Thursday 6th December. The exhibition was officially opened by Mr. Dermot Ahern T.D, Minister for Foreign Affairs. Dundalk Arts Officer, Sile O’Sullivan described the attendance at the opening night as the highest on record, despite the stormy weather. The show comprised of thirty paintings, all of which sold in just over an hour.
Rosemary’s paintings consisted of vibrant, exact and keenly observed watercolours and acrylics and included micro-landscapes and studies which explored the effects of light and time.

The Basement Gallery, which was originally the town Gaol, provided a unique and atmospheric space in which to display these paintings. It is managed by the Arts Office of Dundalk Town Council who programmes work by local, national and international artists.
