St Patrick's College Variety Show 2009

The St Patrick’s College Vincent De Paul (SVP) Society held their final fund-raiser of the year, the SVP Annual Variety Show and the Foam After-Party on Monday 11th May. The event opened with the Variety Show in the College Auditorium at 8pm. Presented by the amazingly comic, Fred Cook, it featured performances from students with a surprise guest appearance from College lecturers Michael O’Leary and Matthew Stout.

The Foam After-Party in the Big Tree was a sell-out with huge numbers in attendance. The evening proved a great success and raised a total of €1,644.44.
Cheques were presented to attending representatives of a number of SVP concerns including The Sunshine Fund, which provides holidays for children from disadvantaged areas who received €1,500.

Back Lane, who provide shelter for homeless men in Dublin city, received €3,500 and Ozanam House Dublin, for their work in providing resources to address isolation among the elderly, received €1,000. De Paul Trust, who work with homeless children in Bratislava, also received €1,000.
