The Support Needs of Immigrant Parents

On 20th September, the Centre for Human Rights and Citizenship Education at St Patrick's College held a training session for staff on the support needs of immigrant parents. The training was delivered by Globe: All Ireland Programme for Immigrant Parents and formed part of a cross-sector national wide training programme. Eleven St Patrick's College staff members took part in the training and it is hoped that they will incorporate a consideration of the perspectives and needs of immigrant parents in their courses.

Training in this area will also be made available to third year and post-graduate students in the coming months.
