Studia Hibernica, Volume 34
Volume 34 of the journal Studia Hibernica has recently been published. Edited by Dr Uáitéar Mac Gearailt and Dr James Kelly of St Patrick’s College, Drumcondra, Studia Hibernica is an annual journal devoted to the study of the Irish language and its literature, to Irish History and Archaeology and also to Irish folklore and placenames.
Volume, No. 34, contains an article by Mac Gearailt on the Middle Irish tale Fingal Rónáin and book reviews by James Kelly, Dáire Keogh, Mary Ann Lyons, Éanna Mac Cába, Ciarán Mac Murchaidh, Máirín Nic Eoin, Ríóna Ní Fhrighil, Ciarán Ó Coigligh, Matthew Stout, all of St Patrick’s College. The other articles in this volume are by David Woods (on St Patrick), Craig Haggart (the 9-10th century Céle Dé movement), Conchubhar Ó Crualaoich (Irish in 16-17th c. Wexford), Tadhg Ó Dúshláine (a source used by the 17th c.author Séathrún Céitinn), Brian Ó Dálaigh (the 18th c. writer Mícheál Coimín), Fionnuala Waldron, St Patrick's College, (Labour and the Parnell split), Raymond Ryan (the National Farmers' and Ratepayers' League).
