James Kelly Publications
Two new publications by Professor James Kelly, Head of History in St Patrick's College:
Ireland and Medicine in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries (edited by James Kelly and Fiona Clark) and featuring essays on various aspects of the history of medicine by the editors, Marian Lyons (St Patrick's College History Department); Laurence Brockliss and Toby Barnard (both of Oxford University) and others is published by Ashgate, 2010.
The Eighteenth-century composite state: representative institutions in Ireland and Europe, 1689-1800 - edited by James Kelly and D.W. Hayton (Professor of British and Irish History QUB) - which locates Ireland in a Europe of composite states, and features essays, an extended introduction and conclusion by the editors, and a range of Irish, European and American scholars, is published by Palgrave, 2010.
