Visit of Delegation from Taiwan
On 25th May 2011 a delegation of 40 primary and secondary teachers and principals from Taiwan visited St Patrick's College as part of their fact finding mission to Ireland seeking to develop greater educational, research and cultural linkages with Ireland. The group was led by Taiwan’s Deputy Minister of Education, Wu and Ambassador Harry Tseng of the Taipei Representative Office in Dublin. The visit was facilitated by the College’s International Office and the guests were welcomed by the College Registrar, Olivia Bree. The schedule included meeting and mixing between visitors and College staff from the Faculties of Education and Humanities, while the Dean of Education, Dr Fionnuala Waldron and the Director of Inservice Education, Regina Murphy organised and presented two lectures on Perspectives on Education in the College and Ireland.
