Who Do You Think You Are?

On Monday 13th October 2008, Dr Ruth McManus,St Patrick's College, Geography Department, appeared on the popular RTE programme Who Do You Think You Are? which investigates the family histories of well-known Irish personalities.  In the programme which explored Pamela Flood's ancestry, Dr McManus explained Dublin's social stratification in the early years of the twentieth century, the geography of the 'Monto' Red Light district and the extreme poverty of the tenement dwellers.  The programme will be repeated on Sunday 19 October 2008.
