Young Footballer of the Year 2011

 

Second year BEd Student at St Patrick's College, Cillian O'Connor (pictured above), capped an outstanding year of football with his club and county when he received the accolade of  Young Footballer of the Year 2011 at the GAA All-Star Awards.  In addition to helping his college St Pats win the Trench Cup 2011 and the All-Ireland Freshers title in 2010, the Ballintubber man helped his club land their first ever senior county club title in 2010 and was part of Mayo's  Connacht title winning team this year. 

The All-Stars Night also marked notable achievements for St Patrick's College Alumni Richie Hogan (pictured left), who received his first All Star Hurling Award and Richie Power (pictured right) who added to his haul.
