| St Patrick's College & DCU Writers' Workshops
St Patrick's College and DCU, in association with Poetry Ireland, have jointly sponsored a series of WRITERS’ WORKSHOPS. This is
one of the initiatives that will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the
foundation of Dublin City University.
There will be four workshops, two of which will be held at St Patrick's College, Drumcondra, and two at
DCU. Students from both campuses will be invited to register for whichever
workshops they choose, regardless of venue. An equal number of places will
be reserved for students from both institutions at each workshop.
The writers who will direct the workshop have written poetry, fiction, film
scripts and autobiography. All are prestigious writers who have achieved
international acclaim. Among them is the youngest writer to be included in Selina
Guinness’s The Young Irish Poets. The workshops will take place on dates and venues as below:
Wednesday, 15 February 2006 RODDY DOYLE (St Patrick's College) at 1.30p.m.
Wednesday 22 February 2006 LEANNE O’SULLIVAN (St Patrick's College) at 1.30p.m.
Wednesday, 1 March 2006, MARY O’DONNELL (DCU) at 1.30p.m.
Wednesday 8 March HUGO HAMILTON (DCU) at 1.30p.m.
