This project is launching a new model of professional development through primary school teachers' learning about robotics and computational technologies side-by-side with their students.

The Empowering Minds Learning Network serves 13 Irish primary schools, 24 classrooms, 29 teachers, and over 500 students. It is an offshoot of the Empowering Minds project, in which teachers and students explored the theme "Story, Myth, and Legend" with digital technologies. One of the technologies used was the MIT Programmable Brick, which extends a LEGO construction kit, enabling children to build models that interact with the physical world through sensors and motors.
